Sweet & Sour Chicken – Air Fryer Recipe

method

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients until smooth.
  2. Mix in the rest of the ingredients, apart from the noodles.
  3. Pour into the basket and air fry at 200°C for 10 minutes, or until the chicken begins to brown a little.
  4. Internal temperature 74°C
  5. In another bowl, cover the noodles in boiling water, leave for 5 minutes, then drain.
  6. Serve the cooked chicken on top of the drained noodles and pour over the remaining sauce from the basket.

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour mixed with 3 tablespoons cold water

 

  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 5 spring onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely grated
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 300g straight-to-wok noodles
